Sumario: | One of the main goals of the LHC physics program is the measurement of the Higgs boson self-coupling. Sophisticated physics object reconstruction tools and analysis techniques developed for the analysis using Run-2 data enabled a search targeting events where two Higgs bosons are produced at sufficiently large momentum allowing two bottom quarks from the decay of each Higgs boson to be reconstructed as a single jet using the so-called AK8 algorithm. Building on the Run-2 analysis a comparison of signal and background processes is presented using simulated and collision data. Additionally the analysis framework was explored in order to apply backgrounds estimation strategies and cutting-edge Deep Learning techniques towards a Run-3 implementation. |
