Study of the resonant components in the semileptonic decay B0s →D0Kμν

For a future inclusive measurement of the |Vcb| CKM matrix element, the de- cay Bs0 → D0Kμν is analysed. This decay presents three components: res- onant, non-resonant and combinatorial. A study of the resonant component is performed by fitting the mass spectrum m(D0K+) = m(K−π+K+) − m(K−π+) + m(D0)...

description For a future inclusive measurement of the |Vcb| CKM matrix element, the de- cay Bs0 → D0Kμν is analysed. This decay presents three components: res- onant, non-resonant and combinatorial. A study of the resonant component is performed by fitting the mass spectrum m(D0K+) = m(K−π+K+) − m(K−π+) + m(D0)PDG in which the resonances appear as peaks. In addition to this, hints of the suspected but yet not observed semileptonic decay of a Bs0 into a Ds1(2860)± are reported. The significance found is about 9 standard deviation statistically only, but more detailed tuning needed to deal with some unexpected issues about the PDFs used in the fit.
