Heavy quarkonium as a probe of dense matter
We discuss the use of quarkonium as a probe of hot and dense matter produced in relativistic heavy ion collisions. We show that hard gluons present in the deconfined matter easily break up quarkonium states, whereas the softness of the gluon distributions in confined matter makes it almost transpare...
