A precision measurement of $\epsilon'/\epsilon$ in CP-violating K$^0 \to \pi\pi$ decays with the NA48 experiment at the CERN SPS
This article describes the NA48 experiments at CERN, in particular the layout of the simultaneous Kaon beams, the $K_{S}$-tagging, the magnetic spectrometer and the electromagnetic liquid krypton calorimeter. Some results from early runs, including rare decays, are presented.
