Sumario: | Architectural choices for the data acquisition and high level trigger systems of the proposed LHC experiments will be reviewed. Technologies for the implementation of the readout network and processing facilities are being evaluated in various R&D activities and an overview of the current status of these activities will be given. Options for selecting software platforms will be given and experience in the use of commercial software for building real-time applications covered. Issues related to organisation and project planning will also be mentioned. |
