description | This document concerns the award of a contract for the supply of vacuum tanks for the LHC superconducting cavities. Following a market survey carried out among 68 firms in 15 Member States, a call for tenders (IT-2666/SL/LHC) was sent on 5 March 1999 to eleven firms in a total of seven Member States. By the closing date, CERN had received tenders from seven firms. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a contract with TECPHY (FR), the firm which submitted the lowest technically satisfactory bid, for the supply of 21 vacuum tanks for a total amount of 1 531 782 Swiss francs, not subject to revision. The company has indicated that the work to be executed will be distributed as follows: Germany 52%, France 43%, Belgium 5%. |
