description This document concerns the proposal to extend the amount of the existing contract for the supply of protection and control gear for the CERN High Voltage (HV) distribution network, concluded following an invitation to tender sent out in June 1995 (cf. Document CERN/FC/3830). For the reasons explained in this document an extension of the original authorization is requested. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to an increase of the amount of the contract with the company GROUPE SCHNEIDER (BE) from 1 250 000 Swiss francs to 2 000 000 Swiss francs.
