Proposal for the award of a contract for network first line support

This document concerns the award of a contract for network first line support. Following a market survey carried out among 45 firms in eleven Member States, a call for tenders (IT-2709/IT) was sent on 20 August 1999 to ten firms and one consortium in seven Member States. By the closing date, CERN had received nine tenders. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a contract with the consortium DATA CONVERSION SERVICE (CH) ? WM-DATA (SE), the lowest bidder, for an initial period of three years starting on 1 April 2000 for a total amount not exceeding 1 231 000 Swiss francs, not subject to revision until 31 March 2000. The contract will include an option for two further periods of one year beyond the initial three-year period.
