Proposal for the award of a contract for the sale of materials and equipment salvaged from the LEP machine

This document concerns the award of a contract for the sale of materials and equipment salvaged from the LEP machine. Following a market survey carried out among 58 firms in thirteen Member States, a call for tenders (IT-2771-LEP/SPL/LS) was sent on 7 March 2000 to 10 firms in three Member States. By the closing date, CERN had received four tenders. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a contract with EXCOFFIER FRERES (FR), the highest bidder, for the sale of materials and equipment salvaged from the LEP machine for an amount of 5 796 372 Swiss francs, subject to revision.
