Proposal to take up an option in an existing order for the supply of quench heaters for the LHC superconducting main dipole magnets

This document concerns the taking-up of an option in an existing order for the supply of quench heaters for the LHC superconducting main dipole magnets. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the taking-up of an option in an exisiting order placed with AXON (FR) for the supply of 300 quench heaters for an amount of 1 522 500 French francs (375 000 Swiss francs), bringing the total order value to an amount of 4 505 495 French francs (1 109 728 Swiss francs), not subject to revision. The firm AXON (FR) has declared the following distribution by country of the order value covered by this adjudication proposal: FR-78% and UK-22%.
