Funding options for the 5-yearly remuneration review and the request for additional manpower resources

The Management's proposal on the 5-Yearly Review and the Review of Manpower Resources was presented to TREF, the Finance Committee, and the Committee of Council in June and September 2000. In conclusion to the discussions held in September 2000, the Finance Committee and the Committee of Council requested that the cost impact of the proposal be detailed, as well as the Management's views on possible funding options, to be found essentially within the resources of the current Long-Term Plan. The present document was discussed at the TREF meeting of 18 October 2000. During this meeting, the three parties agreed to start an ad hoc conciliation process in accordance with the mandate given by the Committee of Council. The funding scenario could therefore be revised depending on the conclusion of this conciliation process.
