Proposal for the award of a contract for the construction of a storage building on the CERN Prévessin site

This document concerns the award of a contract for the construction of a storage building on the CERN Prévessin site. Following a market survey carried out among 83 firms in thirteen Member States, a call for tenders (IT-2861/ST) was sent on 30 August 2000 to 16 firms and two consortia, consisting of two and three firms respectively, in nine Member States. By the closing date, CERN had received tenders from five firms and two consortia in six Member States. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a contract with the consortium LOSINGER (CH) - MERCON (NL), the lowest bidder, for the construction of a storage building on the CERN Prévessin site, for a total amount of 2 441 873 Swiss francs. The consortium has indicated the following distribution by country of the contract value covered by this adjudication proposal: CH-70%; NL-30%.
