Proposal for the award of a contract, without competitive tendering, for the integration of the ATLAS toroid magnets

The Finance Committee is invited to approve the request by the ATLAS Collaboration to negotiate a contract, without competitive tendering, for the construction of tooling and the supply of expert manpower for the integration at CERN of the ATLAS Toroid Magnets by the JOINT INSTITUTE OF NUCLEAR RESEARCH, Dubna, Russia, for a total cost of 3 400 000 Swiss francs, not subject to revision. The cost of this work is to be covered by the ATLAS Common Fund; CERN's participation in the funding of this contract is 700 000 Swiss francs.
