Proposal for the award of a contract for the supply of eighteen 400 MHz, 330 kW high-power waveguide junction circulators for the LHC

This document concerns the award of a contract for the supply of eighteen 400 MHz, 330 kW high-power waveguide junction circulators for the LHC. A call for tenders (IT-2785/SL/LHC) was sent on 20 October 2000 to eight firms in four Member States. By the closing date, CERN had received two tenders from two firms in two Member States. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a contract with AFT ADVANCED FERRITE TECHNOLOGY (DE), the lowest bidder, for the supply of eighteen 400 MHz, 330 kW high-power waveguide junction circulators for the LHC for a total amount of 1 443 000 Swiss francs, not subject to revision. The firm has indicated the following distribution by country of the contract value covered by this adjudication proposal: DE-100%.
