Proposal to take up an option in an existing order for the supply of one high-current power converter for the CERN Axion Solar Telescope experiment

This document concerns the taking-up of an option in an existing order for the supply of one high-current power converter, rated at 14 kA, ± 16 V, for the CERN Axion Solar Telescope (CAST) experiment. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the taking-up of an option in the order placed with SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC (FR) for the supply of one high-current power converter, rated at 14 kA, ± 16 V, for an amount of 140 000 Swiss francs, bringing the total order value to an amount of 889 100 Swiss francs, not subject to revision. The firm has indicated the following distribution by country of the order value covered by this adjudication proposal: FR - 80%; CH - 10% and SE - 10%.
