description This document concerns the award of a contract for the supply of 20 Ultra-High Vacuum (UHV) tanks for the SPS extraction systems. Following a market survey carried out among 71 firms in seventeen Member States, a call for tenders (IT-2869/SL) was sent on 19 January 2001 to 11 firms in six Member States. By the closing date, CERN had received eight tenders from eight firms in four Member States. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a contract with INGOVI (ES), the lowest bidder, for the supply of 20 UHV tanks for a total amount of 638 782 Swiss francs, not subject to revision, with options for 10 UHV tanks, for an additional amount of 294 114 Swiss francs, not subject to revision, bringing the total amount to 932 896 Swiss francs, not subject to revision. The firm has indicated the following distribution by country of the contract value covered by this adjudication proposal: ES - 100%.
