Sumario: | This document concerns the award of a contract for the supply, installation and commissioning of seven overhead travelling cranes for the LHC. Following a market survey carried out among 100 firms in seventeen Member States, a call for tenders (IT-2707/ST/LHC) was sent on 21 February 2001 to 15 firms and two consortia consisting of two firms and three firms respectively in ten Member States. By the closing date, CERN had received eight tenders from eight firms in six Member States. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a contract with the firm BRUNNHUBER (DE), the lowest bidder complying with the specification, for the supply, installation and commissioning of seven overhead travelling cranes for a total amount of 3 069 910 euros (4 733 801 Swiss francs), not subject to revision, with options for one additional overhead travelling crane and auxiliary equipment, a spare parts package and an extended warranty for an additional amount of 663 110 euros (1 022 516 Swiss francs), not subject to revision, bringing the total amount to 3 733 020 euros (5 756 317 Swiss francs) not subject to revision. The above amounts in Swiss francs have been calculated using the rate of exchange applicable at the closing date of the call for tenders. The firm has indicated the following distribution by country of the contract value covered by this adjudication proposal: DE - 100%. |
