description This document concerns the award of a contract for the supply of high-precision DC current transducers (DCCTs) in the range 4 kA to 13 kA. Following a market survey carried out among 116 firms in seventeen Member States, a call for tenders (IT-2964/SL/LHC) was sent on 4 May 2001 to two firms in two Member States. By the closing date, CERN had received one tender. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a contract with HITEC POWER PROTECTION (NL), the only bidder, for the supply of high- precision DC current transducers for a total amount of 3 547 339 euros (5 409 940 Swiss francs), not subject to revision, with an option for additional DCCTs for an amount of 700 000 euros (1 067 549 Swiss francs), subject to revision for deliveries after May 2005, bringing the total amount to 4 247 339 euros (6 477 489 Swiss francs). The rate of exchange which has been used is that stipulated in the tender. The firm has indicated the following distribution by country of the contract value covered by this adjudication proposal: NL - 95%; DE - 5%.
