Proposal to negotiate an amendment to an existing contract for the supply of a supervisory control and data acquisition system to be used as a standard system at CERN

This document concerns the proposal to negotiate an amendment to an existing contract for the supply of a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system. For the reasons explained in this document, the Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of an extension to the contract with ETM (AT) for licences, as well as maintenance, consultancy and training for a period of ten years, for a Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA), to be used as a standard system at CERN, for an amount not exceeding 5 400 000 Swiss francs subject to revision, increasing the total amount of the contract from the previously approved 2 125 800 Swiss francs to 7 525 800 Swiss francs. The firm has indicated the following distribution by country of the contract value: AT - 60%; DE - 40%.
