Sumario:This document concerns the award of a contract for the supply of electronic modules for high-precision control of the LHC power converters. Following a market survey carried out among 95 firms in eighteen Member States, a call for tenders (IT-2766/SL/LHC) was sent on 30 May 2001 to 15 firms in eleven Member States. By the closing date, CERN had received tenders from 10 firms in eight Member States. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a contract with LEAF TECHNOLOGIES (GB), the lowest bidder after realignment, for the supply of electronic modules for a total amount of 2 178 126 pounds sterling (5 356 013 Swiss francs), not subject to revision until 30 June 2004, with options for additional electronic modules, for an additional amount of 544 532 pounds sterling (1 339 002 Swiss francs), not subject to revision until 30 June 2004, bringing the total amount to 2 722 658 pounds sterling (6 695 015 Swiss francs), not subject to revision until 30 June 2004. The rate of exchange which has been used is that stipulated in the tender. The firm has indicated the following distribution by country of the contract value covered by this adjudication proposal: GB - 100%.
