Proposal for the award of a contract for the supply of desktop fast-Ethernet and gigabit-Ethernet switches

This document concerns the award of a contract for the supply of Desktop Fast-Ethernet and Gigabit-Ethernet switches. Following a market survey carried out among 27 firms in nine Member States and one firm in Israel, a call for tenders (IT-2954/IT) was sent on 24 October 2001 to eight firms in four Member States and one firm in Israel. By the closing date, CERN had received four tenders from four firms in two Member States and one tender from Israel. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a three-year contract with AZISOFT (CH), the lowest bidder, for the supply of Desktop Fast-Ethernet and Gigabit-Ethernet switches for a total amount not exceeding 1 450 000 Swiss francs, not subject to revision. The firm has indicated the following distribution by country of the contract value covered by this adjudication proposal: IE - 100%.
