Proposal for the award of a contract for the supply of Enterasys smartswitch routers for the technical and accelerator networks

This document concerns the award of a contract for the supply of Enterasys smartswitch routers for the technical and accelerator networks. Following a call for tenders (IT-3030/IT) sent on 14 December 2001 to 15 firms in eight Member States, CERN had received, by the closing date, five tenders from five firms in three Member States. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a contract with SCOTLAND ELECTRONICS (GB), the lowest bidder, for the supply of Enterasys Smartswitch routers for a total amount of 1 281 050 US Dollars (2 162 411 Swiss francs), not subject to revision. The firm has indicated the following distribution by country of the contract value covered by this adjudication proposal: IE - 100%.
