Proposal for the award of a contract for the supply of leaky feeder cables

This document concerns the award of a contract for the supply of leaky feeder cables. Following a market survey carried out among 55 firms in fourteen Member States, a call for tenders (IT-3048/ST/LHC) was sent on 28 November 2001 to six firms in five Member States. By the closing date, CERN had received five tenders from five firms in five Member States. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a blanket contract with RFS (DE), the lowest compliant bidder after realignment, for the supply of leaky feeder cables for a total amount not exceeding 1 000 000 euros (1 485 800 Swiss francs), subject to revision for inflation after 1 January 2003. The firm has indicated the following distribution by country of the contract value covered by this adjudication proposal: DE - 100%.
