Amendment to Article R IV 1.41 to the Staff Regulations: Amount of the Subsistence Indemnity

Pursuant to Article I 1.02 of the Staff Rules, the Finance Committee is invited to approve, with effect from 1st July 2002, the amendment to Article R IV 1.41 of the Staff Regulations set out in this document. In line with the suggestion of the Finance Committee at its meeting of 6 and 7 November 2001, this amendment allows the Organization to apply the subsistence indemnity amounts used by the United Nations Organisation without having to submit the periodic revision of these amounts to the Finance Committee for approval. This proposal has been discussed at the TREF meeting of 19 March 2002.
