Proposal for the Award of a Blanket Purchase Contract, without Competitive Tendering, for the Supply of Radiation Hardened Positive and Negative Voltage Regulators

This document concerns the award of a blanket purchase contract, without competitive tendering, for the supply of positive and negative radiation hardened voltage regulators. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a blanket purchase contract, without competitive tendering, with ST MICROELECTRONICS (NL), for the supply of radiation hardened positive and negative voltage regulators for a period of four years for a total amount not exceeding 2 900 000 euros, not subject to revision. At the present rate of exchange, the total amount of the blanket purchase contract is equivalent to approximately 4 350 000 Swiss francs. This contract will be financed by the collaborating institutes of the LHC experiments and, to a lesser extent, by CERN. CERN's financial contribution to the contract will not exceed 900 000 Swiss francs. The firm has indicated the following distribution by country of the contract value covered by this proposal: IT - 100%.
