Sumario:This document concerns the award of two blanket purchase contracts for the supply of modular metal-enclosed 400/230V switchboards for indoor use. Following a market survey carried out among 65 firms in fifteen Member States, a call for tenders (IT-2940/ST) was sent on 22 October 2001 to 15 firms in nine Member States. By the closing date, CERN had received 11 tenders from 11 firms in seven Member States. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of two blanket purchase contracts with: 1. ABB SPIE TABLEAUX (FR), the lowest technically compliant bidder, for the supply of modular metal-enclosed 400/230V switchboards for standard applications for an amount not exceeding 1 900 000 euros (2 794 117 Swiss francs), subject to revision for inflation from 1 January 2004. The rate of exchange which has been used is that stipulated in the tender. 2. HAZEMEYER (FR), the lowest technically compliant bidder after alignment, for the supply of modular metal-enclosed 400/230V switchboards for cooling and ventilation applications for an amount not exceeding 1 500 000 euros (2 205 883 Swiss francs), subject to revision for inflation from 1 January 2004. The rate of exchange which has been used is that stipulated in the tender. The firms have indicated the following distribution by country of the contract value covered by this adjudication proposal: ABB SPIE TABLEAUX: IT - 54%; DE - 25%; FR - 21%. HAZEMEYER: NL - 65%; FR - 35%.
