Sumario: | This document concerns the award of a contract for the supply and installation of stainless steel pipelines for the TI2 and TI8 transfer tunnels. Following a market survey carried out among 72 firms in sixteen Member States, a call for tenders (IT-2900/ST/LHC) was sent on 7 March 2002 to ten firms and eight consortia in eleven Member States. By the closing date, CERN had received nine tenders from six firms and three consortia in six Member States. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a contract with ZEC SERVICE (PL), the lowest bidder, for the supply and installation of stainless steel pipelines for the TI2 and TI8 transfer tunnels for a total amount not exceeding 1 348 377 euros (1 979 124 Swiss francs), not subject to revision. The rate of exchange which has been used is that stipulated in the tender. The firm has indicated the following distribution by country of the contract value covered by this adjudication proposal: PL - 75%; FR - 11%; AT - 7%; DE - 7%. |
