Proposal for the Award of a Blanket Purchase Contract for the Supply of Electrical Sub-Distribution Boxes

This document concerns the award of a blanket purchase contract for the supply of electrical 400/230V sub-distribution boxes. Following a market survey carried out among 97 firms in seventeen Member States, a call for tenders (IT-3054/ST/LHC) was sent on 4 March 2002 to 14 firms and one consortium, in nine Member States. By the closing date, CERN had received 14 tenders from 14 firms in nine Member States. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a blanket purchase contract with ELECA (IT), the lowest bidder, for the supply of electrical 400/230V sub-distribution boxes for a total amount not exceeding 850 000 Swiss francs, subject to revision for inflation from 1 January 2004. The firm has indicated the following distribution by country of the contract value covered by this adjudication proposal: IT - 100%.
