Proposal for the Award of a Contract for the Replacement of Buried Pipes at LHC Point 4

This document concerns the award of a contract for the replacement of buried pipes at LHC Point 4. Following a market survey carried out among 86 firms in thirteen Member States, a call for tenders (IT-3157/ST/LHC) was sent on 20 September 2002 to seven firms and one consortium consisting of two firms, in six Member States. By the closing date, CERN had received six tenders from five firms and the consortium in five Member States. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a contract with LOSINGER (CH), the lowest bidder, for the replacement of buried pipes at LHC Point 4 for a total amount of 1 280 811 Swiss francs, not subject to revision. The firm has indicated the following distribution by country of the contract value covered by this adjudication proposal: FR - 50%; CH - 50%.
