Sumario:These tracks are produced by high energy particles that have been created in the collision of a proton and an antiproton in the SPS collider at CERN. Particle detectors use electronics and complicated devices to recreate the tracks left by real particles. Such detectors are usually embedded in a strong magnetic field, causing the charged particles to follow a curved path so that they can be identified and measurements can be made of their momentum.
