Sumario:LHCb is a dedicated experiment to study CP violation and other rare phenomena in B-meson decays at LHC. The detector is design to have a particle identification system based on the RICH detectors, excellent mass and decay time resolutions and a very efficient trigger system which is sensitive to both hadronic and leptonic final states. With those properties, the experiment will be able to fully exploit the large number of different kind of B mesons produced at LHC and probe physics beyond the Standard Model.
