Can HERA data improve the LEP constraints on WWV-vertex?

Sumario: | The combined results from the ep to nu WX, ep to eWX, and ep to nu gamma X processes at HERA are used to restrict three-boson anomalous couplings. The effective model for anomalous couplings, in which there is no light Higgs boson and interactions responsible for the breaking of electroweak symmetry are strongly coupled, is considered. The bounds on the L/sub 9L/ and L/sub 9R/ couplings, which parameterize contributions from anomalous WW gamma (WWZ)-vertices, attainable from analysis of the process distributions are presented. The results are compared with bounds resulting from the LEP I and LEP II data. It is shown that the bounds coming from HERA significantly reduce the parameter region allowed from the analysis of the LEP I and LEP II data. (15 refs). |
