Showing one of the air-pads applications used in CMS, for big loads translations in civil ingeneering.
A 2500 Tons concrete bridge was shown in Germany during its installation on place.It use an air pads system on special rails like CMS experiment will do at the Pt.5 LHC site. A 30 meters lenght displacement and less than a millimeter acuracy.
