Large transverse momentum phenomena; an experimental and theoretical review

A review is presented of both experimental and theoretical results on large transverse momentum inclusive processes. The experimental topics include single-particle cross-sections, particle composition and correlations at large $P_1$. The characteristics and predictions of the various theoretical models are described. The similarities and differences between the models are discussed with emphasis on those features which allow experimental discrimination.
