description At the neutrino energies available in future from the CERN 300 GeV accelerator for interaction studies, roughly 1/3 of the emerging hadronic energy goes into neutral pions. Therefore, efficient gamma detection becomes inevitable to determine the a priori unknown neutrino energies. In a Track Sensitive H/sub 2//D/sub 2/-Target (TST) the neutrino collisions occur on free protons or on quasifree neutrons and the surrounding neon-hydrogen mixture provides excellent gamma detection. Such a device inside the Big European Bubble Chamber (BEBC) could largely improve the physics output from future neutrino experiments and would, at the same time, sensibly reduce the amount of deuterium otherwise needed to fill the entire chamber. FAKE studies were carried out to optimize size, shape and position of a TST inside BEBC. The technical feasibilities in terms of operating conditions, track visibility and TST-construction are discussed. (7 refs).
