Search for the Top Quark in the DO Detector

Preliminary results of a search for the tt- production in 1.8 TeV collisions in the DO detector will be given.The searches assume the standard model decays t>Wb,with W+/W decays into dileptons (e or m) and into a single lepton plus di-quarks.For the single electron channel,tagging of the b quark through its semi-muonic decay is also employed.Summed over all channels,seven events are found within the selection cuts,a small excess over expected backgrounds,but consistent with zero.The sensitivity of the experiment is comparable to that a recent CDF preprint.
