Sumario: | Experiments at e+e- and pp colliders have provided much of the experimental basis of the present understanding of the structure of matter. The course will review the various steps of this development,from the study of quark properties at low energy e+ e- colliders, through the discovery of W and Z at the SppS collider to the detailed test of the Standard Model at LEP and will finish with the evidence for the quark, the top, at FNAL and the perspectives offered by the future pp collider LHC at CERN. |
