Sumario: | Particle physics and astrophysics have developed close ties over the last three decades, largely motivated by a deeper understanding of the early development of the universe. In recent years the ties have grown to include the experimental sector, and the cooperation is growing rapidly. These activities are now known as `particle astrophysics'. In this seminar, after a survey of the particle astrophysics agenda, it is suggested that CERN should widen its experimental horizon to include particle astrophysics experiments - which are already foreseen within the CERN Convention. |
