A glimpse behind the scenes of building the ATLAS detector at the CERN laboratory in Geneva, Switzerland

Worlwide more than 1800 physicists from 35 countries are working on one of the biggest experimental set-ups in physics, the ATLAS detector. This apparatus has a length of 45 meters and a high of 22 meters, and is made up of millions of components with the precision of ne hundredth of a millimeter.
