HF fibre stuffing in building 186 at CERN
Each of the 36 HF wedges comprise ca 12000 quartz fibres which are the active element of the calorimeter. The fibres are produced by Polymicro (USA), cleaved and bundled at KFKI, Budapest, Hungary and inserted at CERN.
