Sumario: | In order to investigate complementary aspects brought up by beta - decay studies, an experiment dedicated to study /sup 75/Kr by the beta /sup +/ decay of /sup 75/Rb was done at the mass separator ISOLDE (CERN). The experimental setup consisted of two independent but simultaneously operated measurement stations interconnected by a tape transport system. The system at the beam deposition point was designed for fast timing measurements by the p gamma gamma (t) method and included four detectors: a beta detector, two HPGe detectors and a BaF/sub 2/ crystal. They allowed gamma gamma coincidence measurements and determination of half-lives of excited states in the ns and ps ranges. The second station was specially designed for internal conversion coefficient measurements. (4 refs). |
