Sumario:The Trigger and Data Acquisition System of the ALICE Experiment has been designed to support the high bandwidth expected during the LHC heavy ion run. A model of this system has been developed. The goal of this model is two fold.First, it allows us to verify that the system-level design is consistent and behaves according to the requirements. Second, it is used to evaluate the theoretical system performances using the measurements done on sub-systemsprototypes. This paper presents the specification and simulation of a model of the ALICE DAQ system using a commercial tool (Foresight). This specification is then executed to simulate the system behaviour.(Abstract onlyavailable, full text to follow)
