Sumario: | Pixel detectors will be the innermost tracking layers of the CMS experiment. A large Lorentz angle will help to achieve good spatial resolution by interpolation. The first measurement of the Lorentz angle in irradiated silicon sensors is presented. A small pixel assembly using a radiation hard prototype readout chip has been tested with X-rays. The developments for the full readout chip are reviewed and results from SEU measurements with DMILL structures are shown. (6 refs). |
