Search for charginos and neutralinos with R-parity violation with the L3 detector at LEPII

A search for charginos and neutralinos produced in e/sup +/e/sup -/ collisions at center-of-mass energies between 161 and 183 GeV has been performed under the assumptions that R-parity is not conserved, that the R-parity violating terms involve only leptonic fields, and that the lifetime of the LSP, assumed to be the lightest neutralino, is negligibly small. No candidate events are found in the total data sample, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 76.42 pb/sup -1 /. Limits on the minimal supersymmetric standard model parameters are set at 95% confidence level. (18 refs).
