OPAL results on the production of excited charm mesons in hadronic $Z{0}$ decays

Using data collected with the OPAL detector at LEP, final results are presented on the production of orbitally-excited charm and charm- strange mesons in hadronic Z/sup 0/ decays. Also presented are the preliminary results of a search for a radial excitation of the D*/sup +or-/. All analyses are based on the full 1990-1995 LEP I data sample recorded using the OPAL detector, approximately 4.3 million multihadronic events. (13 refs).
