Hadronisation properties

Results by the SLD and OPAL collaborations are presented on high momentum hadron production by light and heavy quarks in electron- positron annihilation events at SLC and LEP. The clean environment allows detailed study of the correlation between the high momentum hadrons produced in the fragmentation process and the primary quark. SLD studied the rapidity correlations between pairs of identified charged hadrons. OPAL determined the energy distribution and type of the leading particle in a quark jet for each of the five quark flavour. (6 refs).
