| Sumario: | This article is a presentation of results of searches for the standard model Higgs boson in the data taken by the four LEP experiments with center-of-mass energies up to 189 GeV. No statistically significant excess was observed by the individual experiments nor in the preliminary combination of their results. The lower bound obtained for the mass of the SM Higgs boson is 95.2 GeV/c /sup 2/ at the 95% confidence level. (9 refs). |
