Sumario: | We review the status of the NA48 and KTeV experiments. These experiments were constructed to measure $\Re(\epsilon'/\epsilon)$, a parameter describing direct CP violation in the kaon system. Both experiments have successfully collected large samples of CP violating decays of $K_{L} \to \pi^{0}\pi^{0}$ and $K_{L} \to \pi^{+}\pi^{-}$. Combining these data with data from future runs, the experiments expect to achieve a combined statistical and systematic error on $\Re(\epsilon'/\epsilon)$ on the order of $1-2 \times 10^{-4}$. |
