Breit-Wigner fits, assuming a resonance width of 10-20 MeV/c/sup 2/ yield the 95% confidence level upper limits B(pp to xi ) B( xi to pi /sup 0/ pi /sup 0/)<6.10/sup -5/ and B(pp to xi ) B( xi to eta eta )<4.10/sup -5/.
