Sumario:Phenomena reported from cosmic ray observations at incident energies at or above 100 TeV are reviewed together with possible interpretations and attempts at corroborating accelerator searches. Particular attention is drawn to the lack of accelerator data in the far forward direction, including the phase space wherein most of the peculiar cosmic ray phenomena are observed. The uncertainties in the cosmic ray observations are also considered, such as the nature of the elemental composition of the primary cosmic rays. (20 refs).
